Final Details

It has been quite a while since my last post, but we have been spending nearly every free moment at the house attempting to finish within the next few days. We have had some great involvement from across campus and by the end of week are hoping to reach substantial completion.
The fire department was called to our home the other day, but not to worry, they were just delivering water for our water tanks. With 500 gallons donated, we have pressurized our system and everything is working great. We have also begun testing the controls system and the HVAC. After many hours of work, we were able to heat the home with a hair dryer (proof of concept, albeit a non-sustainable solution), cool it with our custom HVAC system, heat it back up, and then cool it down through the heat pump integrated into our water heater.
The students have also started building furniture & completing the finish details in the porch area. The shading device is also coming along.
We continue to welcome visitors throughout the day, and would like to invite everyone to our open house on the 12th and 13th of September, from 10-6.
For now, back to work. More updates (and pictures) soon.
